Record your screen in the browser

- Open the screen recorder and choose your quality (1080p is a good default) and frame rate.
- Tick Record microphone if you want to narrate, and Add webcam overlay if you want your camera in the corner (great for explainers).
- Click Start recording and choose what to share — a single tab, a window, or your whole screen.
- To capture computer sound, enable “Share tab audio” or “Share system audio” in the browser’s dialog.

Tips for a clean recording
- Pick the smallest area you need. Sharing one tab looks cleaner than the whole screen and keeps the file smaller.

- Narrate clearly. Test your microphone first so you’re not re-recording.
- Higher frame rate (60 fps) is smoother for fast motion or gaming; 30 fps is fine for most tutorials and uses less space.
What about the file size and format?
Browser recordings are usually saved as WebM (or MP4), which plays in most modern players.
