Boost or Normalize — which should I use?
Use Normalize when a recording is simply too quiet — it levels it to the standard used by streaming platforms (−14 LUFS). Use Boost when you want manual control over how much louder it gets.
Will boosting distort the sound?
A limiter is applied automatically so peaks don't clip harshly. Very high boosts (×3+) can still sound compressed — try Normalize first.
Does it work on videos?
Yes — the video stays untouched; only the audio track gets louder.
